Families are forever

HELLO! This week flew by and was great!
This week had some great experiences! Last Monday night we had a family night with a family Assetou and her son! She made us a wonderful African meal with crab and fried bananas. It was great. We talked about the model enos is by his example of faith and prayer.

The next day, we had a Rendez vous with a man who had contact us. He is from California and reminds me a lot of my brother in law! He spoke perfect English and French . No accents. We went to his house and ate lunch and his two litter girls were so cute. He wanted us over because the church has played a big role in his life. He's not a member but he grew up next to members. He loves the church and what he's seen and I hope we will get to keep working with him the only problem is is that his wife absolutely hates religion. So that's hard. But we taught the family about Christ and who he is in our lives.

We had two Rendez vous with a guy who loves genealogy. You should have seen him on the computers. Wow. He was going ham.

We passed a less active member. He answered his sonnerie (doorbell/telephone in one ) and didn't want to let us in . But I said hey 5 minutes will be alright. We walk in and the house wasn't the cleanest and there was a few boxes of 100 cigarettes.  We wernt able to do much but we were able to smile and hopefully brighten his day.

We went over to an older members house. She was nice and she has a lot of questions about the church. She was a member then went less active then came back and lost a lot of what she knew. We taught about the plan of salvation. She then unloaded her entire freezer and gave us all the food she had in there. Haha it was spontaneous and weird. But hey free food.

Saturday we made our way over to a members house. She has 3 kids at home and we had lunch with them. The daughter is really cool but is slowing starting to slip. So we talked about prayer and the relationship the we have when we pray.

When we go to church it's cool to see all of our friends and really there are some super cool people in every ward. But the real reason why we go is because of that relationship we have with our heavenly father.

Then last night after chruch we went to a family home. This family was goals as the little kids of 4 years old basically taught is all about Joseph Smith's story and his example of faith.

Here's some photos. Love you all! Have a good week! Keep your covenants
Serve someone else with a smile:)

Hii mom!
Thats super good! Me and iken have emailed a few times and kept in touch!

Ah wow! That's a lot of fun! Haha I hope those horses will still be there when I get back! Haha they'd be great for dates and nights out! That's sweet with devan!  I'm sure he did great! And I loved the pics!

Haha the glasses are mine! There fake glasses for fun haha I wanted to see if it would make me look smarter haha so I got some, they were pretty cheep so that's good!

This week was really good! We had some really good Rendez vous and I learned a lot of how the French brains work with religion. Haha for us it's freedom of religion. Haha for them it's more freedom from religion. So that makes it different. But we find people everyday that we can share a gospel truth with.

Love you mom! Sounds like your having fun with the Stephens ranch!

Some updates over here! We got our transfer calls and me and elder tairapa will be staying another. I will be the new district leader and that will help a lot. W will have exchanged in my sector so that means more work will get done! So I'm super excited to see what will happen!

Itshardthinkingofaphrasetocaptureaweek.

Heyyyo

This last Monday I started out on exchanges with the elders in Bergerac, me and elder Lewis were on exchanges and started by helping a family out with service and then going and contacting and finding for them! We had some great conversations with a few people and might have found Paris elders a few new amis. It started raining some cats and dogs while we were on exchanges.

We came back and went to work in our sector finding a whole bunch.

We had a lesson this week with our progressing amie Carine! She's a funny lady and is just really blunt.  If she doesn't understand something she says hope. Doesn't make sense. Haha which helps us teach. We taught the lesson of the plan of salvation simply and she related to it on a very personal level because she has lost people in her life.

Church. Literally it was so great! We had testimony meeting and all the members bore there testimonies on missionary work and helping the Lord work on earth. Really I have so much respect for French members. They truly are pioneers. We saw a miracle less active come to church yesterday. We had a Rendez vous with her the week earlier and she was so set on not coming. She came. We had other families that we are working with and one young man 12 come to church with his mom! He's working on getting the priesthood and he quickly found friends in the ward! He's a stud!

I've been really listening to conference talks and I loved elder bednars on meekness. I'm grateful for our inspired leaders. I know we can have personal revelation. God loves us. Let's be ready for his inspiration .

Love you all!

Fromage de tête

This week we had a Rendez vous with our ward mission leader. They are from Madagascar. He made us a meal and he started out with fromage de tête. (Head cheese) turns out be made his own cheese out of a pigs head. Mid bite I bit down and felt something rock hard. It was a bone. At that point, It was hard to finish.

Haha the week was really good here! It started out with a zone conference and talking about our testimonies and the spirit when having lessons!

We had a great lesson with a 12 year old who's preparing to get the priesthood!  We taught of the example of Nephi and how when he received calls from God his response was always Yes. 1nephi 3 7

We found some super cool amis this week! I'm excited to see their faith grow!

Conference. It was great to see the prophet and the apostles. Their words are of God. I was able to feel the spirit and receive answers to my questions. I know that God listens to us. And loves us. I'm thankful for a modern-day  prophet.

Love you all! Keep doing good.

Also shout out about LAYTON UTAH TEMPLE .

This is where my ward mission leader lives.

Hi!  Also one story I forgot to include in my email to you its this!

This week we had a Rendez vous with an amis that we found. It was our first rdv with her. We started out by getting to know her and what she all ready knew about us, she starts out to say that she knows that for us families are really important. She then explained how her family isn't perfect. She explained literally word for word. (Well In French) what described to be like our family. (Meaning with the Bowden side). I was able to bear testimony of how you have turned and leaned on Christ and His gospel. God and his inspiration.  And the family you have. It brought us both to tears. As we bore testimony of someone faithful and strong in the gospel even not the perfect family. Thank you mom for being a model I can share and someone I look up to. I love you mom . Have a good week :)

Hahaha hiii mom! I'm glad you got to see that! Haha that's my brother in the mission. He was trained by the same trainer. but he had the song all made. We just sang it! Haha I'm getting more comfortable with French which makes me really happy.

This week our chapelle closed because of construction. So we don't have a computer to use anymore. Haha so we hadn't mcuh time to look this week.

LAYTON UTAH TEMPLE! HAHA literally I found out because of you. Cause the time differences. I woke up and read you letter and found this out! Wow! How cool!

Cool! That's good he's still able to come around! Haha literally translating is such a challenge so props for him!

I agree. The visiting and home teaching assignments really do help a whole lot. In every aspect. He's a prophet of God and inspired to lead us!

I think our friends are doing ok. They wernt able to come yesterday. But we will be seeing them this week and I'm excited for that.

Haha I'm doing good. I've got about all I need. Come July is solds. When everything is like half price. And I'm planning on maybe getting some new parts of my clothes then. Haha thanks mom for all you do! I love you! I hope it's all going good back there! Let me know if I can do anything for y'all and if you want me to start including certain things in my letters. Haha

Love,

Elder Bennett

Ça tombe Bien

Hello my family and my friends. This week was great to say the least.

For starters• we had a great Pday. An Elder from another sector came and stayed a day with us so we were in the trio life for a moment. That day rocked. We found some solid new friends. Tuesday night we had a Rendez vous set up with a member, a less active family. And a friend. We showed up. It was our first Rdv with them and turns out! This less active family is someone that the one and only soeur Jensen (vance) taught on her mission! Wow! What a miracle and how great of a time it was!the friend that was there was really interested and really it was great!
We saw them 2 time this week and they all made it to church!  Even with day light savings.

We had district meeting and we talked about charity and forgiveness. Those are big topics that I'm working on to have in my self.

Sunday was so good. Most of our progressing amis came to church and had a good time! We had a ward meal afterwards and we got really Monday with some of the members! I'm going to love Lormont Bordeaux every week.

Love you all! Let me know what's happening back home! Keep strong! Go to the temple for me! And do some good preparing for conference !

Heyyo!

This week was the first week in my new sector!  There's one main tram system that everyone uses and it's pretty simple as a ville! Still haven't seen the whole thing yet!

Cool thing this week. So me and my Trainer got in contact with this man from South Africa who was a less active and was trying to find out church! He came we got really close. Then I moved ..as missionaries do... But he moved up to Bordeaux into my ward! Haha so I found that out and it's pretty cool ill get to do stjff with him again!

We did a lot of finding this week to get our teaching pool up. Found some super cool people who I can't wait to work with!

Went to church yesterday and it's so awesome to see how strong members are and it was good to be in a big ward! Haha a guy from Lithuania came and spoke English and so I translated for him the whole time. Holy that was hard.

I really love the temple and all the blessing it brings us! Do all you can to share it with your families and friends. And live it. Go to the temple. Treate your body like a temple. Be virtuous.  Love you all! Love you all!

Me and my comp. My comp is so cool. Super funny and loves to work and play! He's doing big things.

Sun rise

Chocolate egg. Also my comp this week baught a 16 dollar chocolate egg. It wasn't worth it. Haha

Renaissance

Hellow my family and my friends

Wow! What a 2 weeks it's been! 2 weeks ago we had such a big miracle! We were on the bus and were contact by this lady who loves Christ and wants to follow him! We talked for a moment and exchanges numbers set up a meeting and bam we had our meeting and like one of the first sentences she says was , I know I need to get baptized. ' like how cool is that! We taught her and she came to chruch , first thing she did was pull out her phone, and said do you know this man? And it's a picture of elder uchdorf haha she said she couldn't sleep because she was watching the restoration and general conferences. Please keep her in your prayers that her faith to learn and grow will continue!

Last Monday I was down in Geneva for a zone conference! We had some good times with the other elders and getting set up for the zone conference.  We had our zone conference and talked about how powerful the book of Mormon is! I remember the talk by President Nelson of what would you life be like with our the book of Mormon,  it's a great talk and I encourage you all to read and study it! It's cool being out and seeing how much my testimony has grown on the book of Mormon.  We gave a whole lot of book(s) of Mormon(s) this week which was a huge renaissance start.

We did an exchange with some of zone leaders in Lausanne this week! We set up some great RDVs.  We gave the lesson in English to a new ami. Haha it's weird teaching the lessons in English haha

This week at church we had 5 of our investors at church. Such a miracle. One man we contact on the road came.
He speaks better Arabic than French and we ran back to our apartment to get him a book of Mormon in Arabic. He then spent most of the time reading it in church. We talked after and he could totally fill the power of the book of Mormon.  He said he's going to bring us family in 2 weeks

Today I went with a member family to visit some caves!  The vassuers are the MVPs.

I hope you all have a great week! Here's some pics. Cause I know that what everyone looks at haha. Ciao

Ps. I got my smartphone this week so that's exciting

se preparer

Hello!!
It’s amazing how when you prepare yourself for the Lords work, how it all falls into place, last week, we had a lesson scheduled with a part member family and they asked for a blessing when we came that night, so we had been preparing ourselves for the blessing,  we had a good lesson, but the daughter ended up not being there for us to give a blessing, we had lesson with a family in the ward just after, at the end they asked us to give them blessings! It was really cool how preparing ourselves, the lord will use us to help his work! I have seen so many similar things!

This week there was Valentine’s Day and I hope it was great for you all! For us missionaries we contacted all of the recent converts of 5 years and taught them a lesson of the temple… turning the hearts of the children to the father, and the father’s hearts to the children.

We were able to give two chapel tours this week with two of our new friends! It was great and really cool to show how simple, and spiritual our church is. I’ve seen a few other churches here and they are really nice, pretty, but very expensive, and have an air as if to show how powerful they are. It was cool to see our amis feel the spirit as we spent some time in our chapel!

There are some pics down below! Love you all!
Have a grand week.

chais pas

HELLO EVERYONE.

Last Monday night, me and my comp had a lesson with the bishop and his family! We realized as we were on the train to their house that my comp forgot to tell them that he couldn't eat gluten, so we were praying that he could eat something and not be sick for the rest of the week, turns out, everything they served he could eat! A little tender mercy to start the week!

The next morning we got up and went and played ping pong with a less active. ha-ha I've played a not a bad amount of ping pong with my friends but this guy took it to another level. I was using 5 star balls, yes Ethan 5 stars. Anyways, we played good, I got wrecked a few times but managed to win a few times.

We had a great district meeting, there’s a picture down below, it was good, and my district leader just got an emergency transfer to Corsica, so that was sad, he’s a good guy I looked up to a lot!

This week at church I finally made the connection with all the kids. hahaha it was snowing and they all kind of ran outside, so I kind of just stepped outside and maybe tossed a little tiny snowball in the direction of one of the little rascals, haha  It hit the ground but all the kids looked back and then it was all of them verses me. haha it was great fun and we had some good times!

I continue to learn how important member missionary work is, and I continue to see how god is preparing people for us all.

Love you all! Have a great week
