Sprint through the starting line

Happy Pday everyone! I hope you're all doing good! This week was a great week out there in the West side of France .  

It's been 2 years writing emails and I still feel like I'm winging it each time.. 

We had a chance to go to poitiers and do some exchanges. I was able to see Hervé and charlot. They were baptised while I was there in poitiers and have been the the temple in Paris since. Their testimonies are growing so strong and I have strongly been touched by their examples. 

We had some great Meetings with an friend that we had found a while ago. He's name is David. He at first wasn't super interested in our message because he didn't feel clean enough to talk about God. As we have been taking with him and he has been reading the book of Mormon he has been understanding the love that God has for him. Keep him in your prayers and he will continue to progress. 

We had district meeting this week and we talk about obedience and how important this quality is. We are tied to God when we are obedient. How important that is to be tied to God. 

We had stake conference this week. We travelled down to Bordeaux and I was able to see 5 of my ward I served in. How grateful I am for these wonderful people I have met. The greatest blessing for me to know these people. 

The more I study the more I am thankful for the Book of Mormon and the witness it gives. The only thing you need to know about this church is that it's TRUE.

France Lyon mission

WEEK 100

Hey y'all! 

I hope you're all doing good, we are doing good here in Angoulême France. It has been getting very hot out and so we are having a good time getting that missionary tan line...

These week we had some exchanges and I was with a friend in poitiers. So I was able to see some old members and friends.  Along with that I learned some great missionary lessons from th at day. 

We went on Wednesday and did some service with some members. We started a fire with the permission of the man of the house and then a few minutes later . His wife came out and was getting really stressed that the fire men were going to come and get mad at us.. We shoveled dirt on and put out the fire. While there we went to borrow a spade from a neighbour and we walked in and there was a baby fawn in the house. Very interesting house and people in the middle of a no name village. Haha 

We were able to see many friends and teach the lessons too them. 

I'm trying to soak up every minute of these last moments.

I'm not superstitious, just a littlestitious

Hey you all! I hope everything's good over there getting ready for summer to start and the school year to end! 

This week has been aweosme. We had a chance to go to Bordeaux this last week to have zone conference. We talked about teaching the doctrine simply and clearly.  It was great. 

After we stayed in Bordeaux to have an exchange. I was with Elder petion.  He is a Super missionary. He's is French and it's always great getting with him. We were able to see a recent convert from bordeaux I had while I was serving there and it was great to see him again and to have another lesson. We also got to pass back a few friends I had and one of which even came to church again this last Sunday! So that was awesome.

Elder jewkes and I got back to our sector and got to work. We saw Rimthe. He is doing allright but his progression has gotten a little bit slower which is frustrating sometimes not being able to move and the pace we would like to. Please pray for him:) 

We had an aweosme barbaque for our ward. Such good food. Haha anyways. I love this gospel and how much I learn each day. For almost 2 years I've studied and talked about the gospel 24h7. And it never gets old.

Jesus is the Christ

Good week here in Angoulême French everyone, we had a whole week here in our sector which helps the work a whole lot progress, 

We saw our family that we are teaching 2 times and it was quite perfect!  So that was really great. 

We were teaching them the plan of salvation and it really hit me how happy I am to have this plan that was made for us to achieve great things in this life. I really testify that 《 all was done by the wisdom of him who knows all things》

Christ makes up our differences or life's unfairnessss. From physical weekness to earthy riches, one day when we are all resurrected we will be judged on our faith in Jesus Christ. 

My bro Elder Jewkes is quite the great guy, getting out and working hard. Yes been very good at it. 

In Angoulême 《from what I have seen》there are many people who have questioned and do question the identity of Jesus Christ. My testimony only grows as prophecy if fulfilled and teaching becomes one of the most exciting moments.

T'a mis bcp de Piment 🤪

Good start of the week everyone! 

We started last Monday down in Bordeaux in 2 of my precious sectors! It was super cool because i got to see some of the old friends that I taught, one of which never continued any further with the church, I saw him on one of the first busses that we took when we got to Bordeaux and we set up a RDV and it went very well. He wants to be baptized and continue in the church!  

We got to do a while bunch of sevices as well for a family who just baught a house that is beeing 're done. Haha I felt like going into that garden like one of those remake a home TV shows! 

We got invited to teach 7 camoronaise  haha they made us food that was spicy and my comp are alot of spice:) 

Also so happy for sabastien and his choice to be baptised! So good for limoges

Parents and a week away

Heyy this week was great! We spent time living with the branch President this week because of the repares being done in our appartement. I got to really know then and I am so grateful for them. I learned so much of the sacrificed that they make to serve the Lord. Consicrated Sacrifices bring blessings. 

We had a great testimony builder that no matter what city you are in God is preparing people to meet missionaries. 

Where the branch President lives it is a small out in the southern country side of France. My companion and I decided to go  and walk around and see if anyone would talk to us. We found this lady who had always been missionaries in our country but she never talked with them . She took the time to listen and she said that she has been praying to find some people to worship with and to learn about God! It was amazing. we have her a book of Mormon and it was really super. 

I'm loving the members and people in Angoulême! Hope you all find a chance to invite someone to church!

Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing good! 

This last week has been crazy and alot of fun! Haha we started in our sector doing some contacting and teaching, while contacting we had 2 people who said they would like to be baptised and see the Restored church of Jesus Christ. 

We have been kicked out of our appartement for a whole 15 days because they are repainting the walls. We left to go to poitiers and I got to see some of the old amiss that I've worked with, one of which texted the elders that day and asked to have and interview with the branch President for her baptism. 
I also got to see my good friends Hervé and Charlotte who went to go to baptism for the dead this Easter week end. 

When getting back into angouleme to stay the night before going to church the next day, and upon arriving to our appartement I realised that the keys were in my coat which was left in poitiers. We called our branch President and his wife and went and stayed with them. Which we will be staying with for this comming week. We love them and they are so great they are from England. 

Anyways God is great! He is blessing those who keep his commandments.

Good morning all! I hope you're all doing great! 

This week was an awesome fun packed week on the mission! 

We spent the first part in Toulouse having zone conference. 

We talked aboutthe power of an invitation. It's really amazing the power of what an invitation does. I've seen that for the past year or so. Anywhere I go I try to invite new people to church and it's amazing to see all the people who are looking and who will accept this invitation to grow their faith. 

"It is never to early to invite. " if you have an ami that's not dooing 100 of what they should. Invite them to do so. If you have a friend not a friend or family member not a member of th4 church. Invite them to church with you. It will be so worth it. 

We got back into our sector and worked with some of our friends. 

Rimthe who is almost 2 meters tall is awesome and loved the restoration. We are preparing for his baptise soon and so please keep him in your prayers.

Over the many meetings I've had I have to express my overwhelming gratitude for this great gospel. It truly is a great and marvellous work. I know God lives. I know Jesus is the Christ. Keep on going strong!

Jésus sauve

Good morning brethren and sisters, 

This last week was great. We had some great time in angouleme and got to see a few of our new friends. 

A few of them are really cool. 

One make is really tall. He honestly is as big as elder tairapa (6'9") 

Haha we walked into his house and his family was sitting there and we were able to teach them the restoration. Please keep them In your prayers and we will hope they will continue to progress in the faith! 

There is also another man who we taught from Spain. We showed him the video of Jesus baptism and it's such a great spirit that feels the room as we think of the example Jesus Christ has set for us. He is the light and the way. 

We were able to go back to poitiers to do an exchange, I saw all of our friends like Hervé and charlotte. they are seeing miracles with their situation. I was with Elder ley who speaks great French English and Spanish. He is a Super missionary. 

And conference was amazing. Repenting is the way to use the atonement of Jesus Christ.

Transfers:12 weeks left:training: Good evening everyone!  

This week was bitter sweet, elder miller and mine last week in poitiers. Elder west will be staying that taking care of all of our amis that we have progressing towards the sweet waters of baptism. 

We spend some time with one of our amis, she had received a strong prompting that she needed to have us meet her daughter and introduce her to the church of Jesus Christ.  We had a sweet meeting and we able to feel the spirit toghether. 

This week I was able to confer the priesthood upon Hervé. To the office of a priest. It was a powerful and moving experience I was privileged to participate in. 

We found some very cool people week, one man from the Congo and he had an auntie that was part of the church of Jesus Christ. The man read when he was younger the book of Mormon and has always been curious. We taught him the first lesson and after he came to church as well. 

Cool story: a man who refereed him self while I was in talence, I was able to start teaching him, and we have him a book of Mormon. Then he kinda dropped off the earth after the 2nd meeting. But elder Osborne went into Bordeaux and this man starred comming to church and meeting the missionaries also. He said that the first day he got the book of Mormon he felt a very strong opposition to read the book of Mormon. He got though it and read it a little. But dropped off the earth. 

But he will be getting baptised this Friday:) happy for him! 

God is Good. He supports us.

Ce que Dieu a fait pour moi, je ne peux pas tout raconter

Good afternoon brother and sisters, i hope you are all doing great, this week in poitiers France we had an awesome week full for blessings. 

Hervé and charlotte got baptised and confiremed! It was great to be able to meet them and teach them, see how much God has prepared them, 

It started out by meeting them on the bus and then right after showing them the chapel which they don't love far away from. Hervé had all ready met the church from his home country in  the ivry cost but never had been. We were able to show them around and set up another meeting for the week. After our first meeting we learned this week that him and his wife after we had left our first lessons they looked at eachother stunned for about 5 minutes because they had found what they were looking for. 

Both of their baptisms were great and they felt so much joy. I know God prepared people.  As missionaries is our job to find those who are ready, and as us as members it's our job to invite our friends to come and see.

We have another few friends that are progressing very well, they are receiving answers to their prayers and we are excited to see them acting on their inspirations.

First time for all things

Good morning! I hope you're doing great things here in poitiers are doing great! Let's get started!

Last Monday night we headed over to Hervé and Charlotte's home, we had set out to give a lesson to teach the word of wisdom, as we got in we let conversation take it's way following the spirit and teaching to their needs, we needed up giving Hervé his first priesthood blessing of his life. They are in a situation difficult in their life and they are learning on Jesus Christ. Amazing examples of Faith:) 

We had a pancake party with some members from Brazil. We had a great time making these cakes and during the activity the lady wanted to teach me Portuguese by singing Portuguese gospel songs🤣🤣 we had alot of fun with them and a few youth in the branch. 

We had some great finds this week and some aw3some people call and want to have a meeting with us. 

Elder Miller and I gave a talk in church yesterday, I talked about true faith in jesus christ. Having faith in jesus christ means having faith that he is our Lord and personal savior .  I testify that he is and that he gives us peace and joy.

Good morning / afternoon, 

I hope you are all doing great. 

Here in poitiers we are seeing so many blessing of God. 

We were able to have alot of our friends at church and accept baptismal dates and also work toward these dates. 

A few amazing people we worked with this week, 

Marianne- she was a miracle find form last week, we had 2 meeting with her and she really has alot of faith, and understands the need for a prophet. During our 2nd meeting she randomly asked us how to be baptised because she has had many questions on that. That was amazing and she came to church. 

Herve and charlotte- they are keeping all their engagements and herve was sick yesterday but came to church so he could stay on track to be baptised with his wife. It was amazing. 

Yichen-she is a lady with whom I talked to the first day here in poitier. She comes to church everyday and she invited us over to have some Korean food. Yummy. She isn't quite sure if she believe in God but she is learning a lot at church and while we are with her. 

Panwang- she is so funny. A cute little Chinese girl who is really committed to the church. We are seeing the spirit work with her and testify of truths as she asks. 

Somethings I really have been learning is faith and blessings, God can only bless us when we are obedient.  He cannot force us to have good things or bad things. In this great plan of happiness we all will get what we want. Happiness and joy come from and only in jesus christ. When we have faith in jesus christ we ACT in faith to receive blessings from Jesus Christ. I testify that he is real and that he works along side of us.
