Im excited to follow Jesus

Hello everyone:)
This week was alot of running around here in Ecully, we had some exchanges here with some of our elders who are so funny, they are always bickering, but they have a good time. We got to help an aweosme member family and we had some very good spiritual moments with them.

We went to 2 baptisms this week and they were so excited and so funny! We've been preparing for baptisms of our friends Felix and Camille! Camille was so excited after her interview she started singing, "I'm excited to follow Jesus".

I continue to grow and learn how much God loves us. And how constant the atonement is. There are so many different situations and it adapts to every single on of our situations.  If you get a chance you'll have to see all the stories I write in my journal that people have told us. Sorry but here in email you don't get 2% of what I learn. Haha but pray for our friends! I pray for you all! Keep up the good work!

Love,

Elder Bennett

Petit joueur

HEYYY YALL!
Haha such great stuff happened this week! Tuesday night we had such a funny meeting with a member. The papa of the house kept feeding us and tell us to eat more and more and if we couldn't finish he was call us a petit joueur(little player). Haha we laughed a good time with them.

We are working with an ami named Felix. Him and his Wife were maried traditionally but they are immigrants here. They would love to be baptised  it we have to figure out a way to do that. Good news is that in Africa the church recognizes traditional marriages. So we have to call down to the mission President to find out if we can do the baptism! :)

This week I've really been noticing how every person life is not as easy as it may appear. It's something we cannot judge. But one thing is sure is that the gospel of Jesus Christ helps and uplift every family and person who lives it.

Love you all! Let's make someone's life brighter today send a smile their way:)

I'll have to say that this week was pretty cool! We had a little exchange starting this week with a funny Canadian elder Jensen. We were running around a whole bunch this week. Meeting with members and our friends!
We did alot with our member anns. We had a quick dinner with her Monday night and then ran over to her house Monday morning for breakfast! It was awesome eating some pancakes (powncok) #elder sundwall,
We met with an ami named Amen. We promised him alot of blessing and we were all ready hyped upped for his baptism! The one thing stopping him is his mother who is a protestant Congo lady. Haha no messing around with that. We called her tri3d to explain to her and. We are still working on that. Amen will be getting baptised soon!
We hopped on train that took us to grenoble! Did some exchanges and we were doing some waiting at a tram. I decided to contact a lady I heard speaking some Spanish! Holy turns out she wall aready  a member that moved to the area 2 years earlier and has never been to church here in France! She has 2 kids and I hope that can continue!! At exchanges we are with a Tongan family. Holy we are so good:) loved them!
Loved this week. Love the mission. I'm so grateful to be able to find the answers to our questions. God loves us. He is ready to bless us.

Love you all! T'ill next week!

Ecully

Heyyy y'all! First week in the new area did not disappoint. Haha we had alot of stuff to be doing all week.
I got here Monday after a few hours of trains.we then went and did my bus pass. While in line we heard some lady speaking English, so Instantly contacted her and she was from Inida. We talked about temples and showed her pictures. It was awesome to see the power of the temple.  We went straight to the meeting at bishops pommiers house. Hahaha dalihla the bishops wife, haha they are so funny.

I've met alot of our friends here. They are aweosme and we've got alot of people who are progressing.

Our week was full and we had lots of fun. Elder Sundwall is a weapon.

We had our exchanges with the APS. I was with Elder schulzke again! Had a good time running in the same sector we share!

God is good. He is ready to bless us.

Alma and amulek

Great week 6 to finish the transfer here in Talence.
Got up early Tuesday morning to work in the garden of our Ward mission leader Frere cade**. He had a pretty french redneck way of lifting up his shed to make it straight but  it worked. So no complaints. Haha while working I was moving a rock from off the roof and I got stung by a caterpillar. Haha didn't know that could happen. But had a pretty cool mark for a few days. We then went back to our house and changed then went and taught a lesson to une amie named jeniff***. Back ground story ~~《Saturday  before ,we were going to samedi sport and contacting on the bus. I sat down next to think young lady and start talking too her. Turns out she's from Colombia speaks decent French but there are a few church words that she didn't understand so gotta try a bit of Spanish, when it came to the stop that we needed to get off at, she was giving me her number so we could have a meeting later that week *Tuesday after gardening* but it was taking a while to get her number. My companion ElderThomas was also talking to someone and was following him off the bus. But as missionarys we need to stay together. So he had this friend he was talking to who was getting of the bus and I was talking to my friend my comp gets half way off the bus and half way in, doesn't know what to do,  cause I'm still setting this meeting up on the bus. Then the doors close on my comp. Hahaha with the doors closing on my comp, if friend calling him to come. Me looking at him telling him we need to stay on(at that moment I didn't know he had found someone) haha he just sat in the middle of the door way and got slammed in the door like 5 or 6 times with everyone looking at him thinking "what is this kid doing?" Haha it was pretty dang funny, and I was trying to go laugh cause me and this lady were talking. Haha 》~~ fast forward back to Tuesday we had a Meeting with the girl I met. Turns out she's only been believing for 5 years. She's about 23 years old. She told us that the day she met me she had prayed to God and said," God I hope you haven't forgotten about me". It was a great lesson and she really liked it.
After that we went and say one of our new amis who basically only speaks Arab but wants to believe in Christ. He came to church yesterday so that was good. We also visited a member who has been struggling with an addiction that we have been helping him work through and it's been great teaching him.

Haha we saw a family thing week the family lancel**, such a funny family. First time I went over was a few weeks ago and they made us chicken. I took a chicken thigh and the problem was is that there was that I took the last one. And the little girl wanted one too. Anywas. This week when I went over they were all teasing me about the cuisee de poulet.. Haha good times with that family.

The following day we went to the Barp. Ate some great food. Mushrooms stuffed with Meat. Very delicious. And did some work to help the Branche of Barp.

Went over to the Lormont appartement to help one of my good buddies Elder Nasman out. And that was the night before calls.

Friday we woke up and got our calls.im leaving Bordeaux and going to Ecully to serve with elder sundwall a super stud who came in with me to the mission. It's going to rock. I already did an exchange with him and holy. LETS GOO.

We stopped by a members house later that night and told them bye and all. This older member frere picar*. Love MacDonald so he then invited us over the following day to ear with him and the family Vendassi! We had a great time eating with them. They just got back from corse and said they saw Elder Jensen.

Yestersy was great at church. Talked about ministering again like usual and after went to So*** Seguins! It was awesome and we got to teach about the priesthood and give blessings as well! Then went to a baptism which was super well done. And after went to the last Mangez vous In Talence. Got to see the family moutoumal**. Loved eating crepes with. them and laughing a whole lot. They always ask us to share our embarrassing stories and we got to share the on about the bus finding.

We are children of God. He loves each on of us. We are princes and princesses.

Love you all! Have a good week:)

Arcachon which is this massive sand dune. Super cool

Some updates on stuff here.im having a slump on finding people. Haha I will have super great convos with people and then they just don't want to see each other again. They just say "on no. That's ok. It was good like this"

Haha but we are getting out of this.

So this is last week of transfers. so Friday we will get call to see if we are staying of going. We think elder Thomas will leave. He's been here 3 transfers and I've only been here for 2 . Haha so next Monday it will be that day of transfers. So hopefully we can get our phones fixed so we can do that and all.

Haha I'll send you some pics that I can. I think this will be the only email I'll send out today cause it's already way late, but ya.

Heyy mom! It was really awesome at the Dunes haha yep everything got fixed the night of haha just had it all off for Pday so that rocks..

Wow sounds like a fun week, when does Jorden start back up In school? And how's he doing with his friends and the ladies? I remember a few months ago you were worried about that.

Wow. That's such a good sacrement meeting! I love the thoughts like that. I've really been studying the nature of God and it's very cool to feel like we are sons and daughters of the highest being. That we are Prince and princesses. That's a great thing to be teaching at church.

So this week was alot of fun! We had alot of member RDVs. And I got to see alot of members that I love! We got calls this week, we totally expected my comp to be leaving but I got called to leave to go Ecully. Which is the heart of the mission haha
Kinda nervous cause it's Presidents ward. So that should be fun. I will also be serving with someone that came in with me. His name is Elder Sundwall, and it's going to be such a great time cause we are already really good Friends!

We were able to use the priesthood alot this week, gave alot of blessing for one week. Haha just had a good time! I love you mom! Thanks for all you do!

Learning to learn

Bonjour tout le monde

Haha started this week out with an exchange with elder Nasman. He's a stud and literally the spitting character of Ethan Meredith.

We had the opportunity to go over to an older sisters house this week. She is a very good pianist and played us some of her favourite hymns.

Alot has happened! Something super great this week was Sunday! We got there and We were supposed to teach the young men. 2 weeks earlier a young man with 14 years old walked into church because he wanted to pray. He liked it. And this week he came back with 2 of his other friends. Doubling the size of our young men. Haha perfect thing we were giving the lesson cause we had planned to teach the restoration and help people see God in All things. It was awesome and it's such a miracle to see such young men searching God, even with the world and wickedness so present in life.

This week was humbing:) those are the best weeks.

Here's a bunch of photos.
Love you all! Use the book of Mormon to the fullest.

My God is awesome.

Salutations

This week was pretty awesome, we had a rough start to the week! It was good test for us, we kept pulling and kept singing, and then we starting seeing some stuffing comming out from the works.

Some highlights of the work:)

We had a great lecon this week with our family Lancelot, we were able to bring our recent convert Didier to the meeting to meet the members! We talked about building our foundation on Christ and not allowing it to be blown down! We can do that by the simple things. Prayer, scripture study, church, FHE.

Friday night we had our member call us up who has his gym right across the street call us and told us to come over to his BBQ, we went over and it was awesome to have some really cool conversation with people there! It was a refreshing way to contact.

Saturday we were doing some contacting, we tried helping these 2 girls with their cars to get it started but that was a fail. So we started walking again, turns out that time stalled helping those girl was a blessing because we contacted a lady who was just comming back form Church, reading her prayers and one prayers says, watch for the lords missionaries.  Haha then we contacted her by starting that we are missionaries. We gave her a book of Mormon and we able to teach her about Jesus Christ going to the Americas and Joseph Smith helping the restoration. Those are some miracles of being a missionary.

Then we went saw one of our friends and he is not believing at all, we saw him for the 2nd time and he told us that he though about the last time we talked and he is ready to do anything to have piece and help his family grow up believing.

Yesterday I was sitting in a Meeting and my old friends from Agen came in! The branches President and his Wife were there! they inviting me to the setting apart of anthénaïs, a member and her family who me and my comps grew to love while we were there. She was set to be apart a missionary yesterday and I was able to be apart of that experience! So special.

Our God is awesome. He can move mountains that seem un able to climb. But more often he shows us the path up the slopes.

I love you all! Keep your covenants! Be make perfect in Christ.

AHH THAT MAKES ME SO HAPPY, I'm so happy that we were able to figure that out!

Sounds like a way good week that you guys had! This week was good but a harder week here! Alot of people were hating on us but we saw some cool miracles as well! Thanks for all you do mom! I love you!

Hello Family and friends,
this week has been quite packed with stuff going on!

this week we got our transfer calls and me and my companion Elder Thomas, canadien, whoot whoot, will be staying together for another transfer! it will be really great to just hit this next transfer running!

we had a ward barbacue on saturday to celebrate the 14th of july, haha it started at 1;30 when on the flyer it said it would start at 11. turns out mormon standard time carries accrost cultures. but we did eat some good meat.

nous avons eu la coupe du monde cette semaine; tout simplement; on a gangé

haha it was pretty crazzy and the car honkiing carried until well after bedtime.

this week i was really working on showing love for everyone, on the street, members, freinds, compaion, my self, God.

it was hard watching people still not listen to anything we had to say even when showing them love, but one of the coolest things was watching poeple change in the middle of the convesation because they feel loved and wanted, and they didnt have a problem reseeing some young men with smiles and showing them christ like love. love is the key.

Love you all!

Elder Bennett

Chillest man

HEYY! sooo good news to start this one! DIDIER GOT BAPTISED! This man is probably the the most chill and honest man I've ever met. Haha he accepted the will of the Lord and I'm so grateful for his example. I'll tell his story. He was first contact and taught a little in Spain. He moved to France and was contacred by the misisonaries! I then came into the area. We fixed his baptismal date and did his finishing teaching.  Funny story. While we were going over what we had been taught. We were doing the word of wisdom. He then was so happy he could drink hot chocolate and hot soup. He had been putting that stuff in the fridge for the past 2 months so that it could cool down. But he went back to Spain to be baptised in the ocean. He's a stud. I'll put some pictures in.

One thing I've been learning and focusing on is how much God loves us. I'm learning more of how I am a son of God.

I know that God loves us and sent his son for us.

Wednesday night we ate fish that we caught. It was pretty good eating the whole fish

Hii! The dog bite wasn't that bad. I tried to talk to them but no one was home! So that was a bummer but then we knocked on this other house and this really nice lady helped us! Haha. But it was way awesome fishing!

I love you too mom! :)

I think things with the new presidents will be a little different!  He is from France and actually he lived in Yverdon for a little bit! So that's cool we have that point in common !

Wow! Yay! That's cool they had a show and food! And wow 3 people out of the country, that's crazzy.

That's really exciting for David! I hope Jon is doing good Also!

This week was alot of meetings this week. We had to work on transfers and recommend people to be transferred! We're getting alot closer to the ward and having a good time! Haha I'll send a whole bunch of pics again. Haha and I'll do better about writing. It's just hard in a big city cause their is never any time  haha like today we worked out and baught food and then went to a members house and had a water fight so that was way fun!

Love you lots mom! Thanks for all you do!

Something I did this week is I went online and got grandpa's patriachrial blessing. It's cool reading it and read I g mine.

Eagles wings

hello everyone!!
this week went by so fast and so many crazzy things happened; its gunna be hard giving a full record of my dealings but ill make a small recording here:
when tuesday came around this week i go to go on exchanges with another 128, Elder Sundwall; we got out and planned to work hard. we were really blessed and were able to find alot of new amis; as well as give them the full cookie and invite them to be baptized. This is the Mission: it was so great; we were carried on Eagles Wings:

Monday we got our new president of our mission!! hes going to be so awesome!! after we had a little conference with him we went and visited a family in the ward: the spirit was strong as we ate some great fish; drew some pictures; and talked about the importance of eternal families.

do good things; make people smile: ill send out a whole bunch of photos too: so hope you all get them!!

love you all!

Elder Bennett

HII MOM!

it's honestly so weird! The time flies by so fast these days ! Haha I've had all the rootbeer.

Ahh yay! Th at will be awesome!  Haha hopefully you'll be able to save your spots

Haha yes Connyr sent me some pictures! That's so cool! Haha and I hope this might go  better with malitca!

Haha wow! Jorden worked there for like 3 weeks like  I did with DQ haha nice. Sorry for that example I set haha

This week has literally been crazy. O did exchanges with one of my friends that came in with me. We found 16 new amis and engaged 9 of them to be baptised the same day. We both worked the same and just went so hard. It's cool because i feel like often there is one missionary carrying the other one. But this time it was just all full powers and we saw what damage could be done with 2 go work missionaries. It was crazzy. We didn't even eat lunch cause we were so excited and felt like we were being carried on eagle wings!
(Average weeks we usually finnd 3-5 new amis and 1-2 engaged to be baptised on a transfer).

Then we also go new president yesterday! He's so cool and I think we will get along great. I served In Yverdon their home town ward when they lived in Swiss.

Today we went fishing with a member. Holy I miss fishing! We caught a whole bunch. I'll send you a video.

I Love you! Thanks for all you do! Happy 4th!
