Karate master

! This week was great and full of great things. Some high lights go as follows.

1. We had zone conference with 3 zones. It was alot of fun, but the last with President and Soeur Brown. Their examples love and leadership have changed lives!

2. Exchanges with Bergerac and talance!

3. Our ami who loves karate. Haha the title is named after that because wow. We had a lesson and he was talking about karate and I asked him to teach me some things. He then told me to stand up and hit him. And we demonstrated the basic defence and strength of a karate instructeur Hahaha it was funny. Good times with Bruno it was a good lessons and he says he wants to meet with us again. So cool.

4. At church. It was motherday today in France and the primary did a musical number. It was really something special and it made alot of mom's and other cry! I'll send the words down below.:)  or next week.

I've learned alot of the simple doctrine of the church. We need to stay simple. The simple doctrines will be able to apply to each of us. When we teach we need to stay simple and clear. God's doctrine are simple and clear.

Love you all! Keep doing good things

I got a picture with all my comps. With the exception of elder Hayes. Sorry buddy.

HII MOM!

This week went good! We had alot of exchanges and just stuff happening all day everyday! Haha it's been exhausting.
Haha good! I'm glad you can have the Charles over the 13ths! Haha that will be fun!

Haha tats good! I hope with jordan it will all be ok!
Haha and I hope the same with our jorden:) haha

Ok yes I did see the garments! I'll let you know! I should be gettingthem in a week our two!

Ahh it's crazy that Taylor is already home! That went by so fast! I'm sure she had a great mission! And is anything going better with that family? With our family and stuff?

I thought we got rid of the shed? Or did it become something else?

Antonia came to church again this week and it's going really good. She started crying during the primary program. They sang a song for mothers day I'll send to you on Facebook!
It's hard because in our lesson we were teaching in 2 other members. And I love the members but they don't really know how to teach simple doctrines. I've seen how much we need to keep our studies simple. Just the basic paphmlets. They really have such basic and clear truths.

Yep this week was our zone conference.. the last with President Brown! Which was really sad!

Love you mom! Thanks for all you do all ready!

I'm grateful for seminary

Bonjour à tous

This week was great and flew by!
It started out by a great Tuesday where we had a whole day packed of lessons. We met this cool young man who we say Tuesday morning. We were able to talk about the restoration, he was really touched by what was felt and we saw a few tears role down the cheeks as we shared testimony of the restored gospels message or Gods love.
We then had another lesson with our recent new amie Antonia (please keep her in your prayers) is progressing so well. She came to church yesterday and we gave her a tour of the chapel. We answered questions of what she saw. He and her son quickly felt the spirit of the sacrement.  We showed he the baptismal font. As soon as she walked in she said" wow. There's something here, I can feel it! " she had strongly felt the spirit there!

The rest of the week was awesome we passed some points and some family's! It's always so fun meeting all the new people.

I'm grateful for seminary. We had a lesson this week with a man we found named Bruno. He has studied ALOT. The bible and the words of Christ. We had a lesson and it wasn't going so great.  But I had a prompting to share a scripture mastery. It went along perfect. And it fortified his testimony of why we need to book of Mormon. He expressed that he lives meeting with us and is going to read the book of Mormon. Never hesitate to share a scripture. They are a tool for us. Literally seminary helps so much for what we learn and what I've been teaching on my mission.

Challenge this week: learn a new scripture by heart. Also try and share it with someone:)

Love you all! Bisous!

Chacolatines

HII! This week was great and we saw some super cool miracles!

We started this week by doing a ward activity that was a barbeque which was super dun and we gotta play some basketball with all the ward kids. That rocks. We had a whole bunch of food to take home.

We then did exchanges, we wernt finding a whole lot of people until our exchanged and then people just started comming out and being interested! It was cool and we found some good potentials!

Saturday was a day like I want all my days to be.
We woke up. Did studies. Went the church. Had our first rendez vous with someone named Antonia! She is so cool and so prepared! She how's how to feel the spirit and she accepted a date to be baptised! So please keep her in your prayers! That's huge because Lormont the sector hasn't had a person with a baptismal date since I've been on my mission. So is really big to see that!
Next we went back and ate food, then came back to the church for another lesson with a man who has studies a whole bunch and he loved our lesson and told us he's always down for a lesson and that he is looking for the truth. Then we went and visited a family with a little kid who's 10. He's not baptised and he loves praying. We taught him how to pray on Wednesday and he prayed like 3 times during our lesson. Anyways we saw him and that was great. Then we went and got some French bread. Oh it was a great day. I learn how the work we do today shows it's self tomorrow

Yesterday talking with my family was awesome. I recently am trying to use the family in my contacts and help people have to opprotunity to have the eternal family.

God is good.

Elder Bennett!

Wear the name

Hello!! Holy this week flew by! Last Monday it got warm enough and the little shack by the volleyball courts was open, we started playing our sand Vollyball, throwback to all the buddies who played at Barns. And the good rallies we had in the MTC. Then I was able to take a plane from Bordeaux  to LYON for MLC.  While there some amazing stuff happened! We were getting something to eat! This guy and I started talking, he had alot of questions about what we were doing and we were able to talk about the restoration and the plan of salvation! Then I show up the office and holy what a  reunion! I was able to see some of the coolest! ELDER JENSEN,TRENTMAN, OSBORNE! and tbere was many others but those 3 were in my group comming in and all rock at their job!
Tuesday was MLC and we talk alot about working with members and how important it is.. our relationships with members!

We've had some lessons with to me are example families, they've shown me alot of how they have been able to teach the gospel in their homes even with a world that is so wicked. I've noticed that it's a love for the gospel that the parents have and show and share. The kind of things I was able to grow up with, which by the way I'm so excited to talk to my family soon! #mothersday

Alma 5:14
14 Et maintenant, voici, je vous demande, mes frères de l’Église, êtes-vous nés spirituellement de Dieu ? Votre visage est-il empreint de son image ? Avez-vous éprouvé ce grand changement dans votre cœur
14 And now behold, I ask of you, my brethren of the church, have ye spiritually been born of God? Have ye received his image in your countenances? Have ye experienced this mighty change in your hearts?

We get some crucial questions here. (Also the following verses are powerful too. Go give it a read)

Love you all! God is good, all the time. And all the time ?

HII mom!
Yes I did! I sent you a video of us going to the plane!

Hahaha now hux has A.c.

Wow And sounds like the family is getting into the SUMMER routine! Nice. And I'm sure that's nice to have Connyr back home! Ahh Jorden went to prom! That's so awesome!

Yes this week was good, we don't ha e alot of amis that progress right now, which is hard and we do alot of finding and working with members!! We Have great ward! The best in the mission so that's super exciting ! And all the members love us! Haha We are having a BBQ tomorrow it's something that me and my companion have put on! This week we've also got some more exchanges which is where we go with another team to work! They are really fun!

I think what will work best is if I call around 18h my time so that will be about 10 a clock your time! But I'll be able to send you a little message before or that has to change but we can plan for that! I'm way excited to talk to you guys!

One thing. That you guys can do:) is set a goal to take more selfies with the family in it:) like how my photos are how I hold the phone and then the families are in the back ground. The word selfie is weird, it don't mean to take a picture of ones self. But it means that we can talk a picture by ourselves while still being in the picture. Haha love you mom! Can't wait to talk to you!
And I sent some picture to facebook:)

Sunsets go by too quickly

Thee appartement that I'm living in is 10th floor, with great over look of the city and the sunset. It's weird at night coming in, Sun going doing, and literally watching the sun move, I'm grateful for the beautiful things God make for us, just to give us happiness.

This week flew by. We had some tombez vous (when someone has a meeting but doesn't show up) (it's missionary French) which is always hard, but then we did some good contacting and talked to some cool people!

One highlight this week was doing a baptismal interview for a young lady who has followed the example of Jesus Christ and was baptised. During the interview the spirit was there as she shared testimony of how the power of forgiveness is so real. It stregthed my testimony alot.
The baptismal questions are a great example of faith. They all start with ''croyez vous'' (do you believe).
Believing is hoping. Having faith.

The lord is speaking here. 3 Nephi 26:11 Je veux éprouver la foi de mon peuple.
I will try the faith of my people

We had another great Rendez vous with the family lhospital of the ward and they had a cute little family.  The spirit is always brought when they share their spiritual experiences.

Love you all!

Have a good week:) and read 7/7 this week of the book of Mormon!:)

HI MAMA!

I think it's cool how you were able to title your email blessings, when there would be alot of others who would say trials, that's a great example.

Haha it was good weather last week but then it got ugly for a few days! Haha

Ohhhh noo!  The malibue broke down, dang it, do you think you will be getting her fixed soon ?
There is a saying if French,  I'm n'y a pas trois sans duex. Haha there isn't 3 without 2. So those 2 things had to happen all at the same time!

But that's good all was able to get fixed! And in such short timing!

Ah cool! Haha is there anyone who looks at that blog? Haha I know I'll love to look at that after mission.
I'm not sure yet! But I'll be night for you guys, or morning! Like at Christmas! But we will figure that out!

Today I get to take a plane from Bordeaux to Lyon!  For the mission leadership council!  Haha it will be alot of fun so I'm excited about that!

Love you mom!

Week with members

Hi mom!

Haha that's good you had some nice weather there! It was really nice over here and HAHAHA there was alot of people super Sun burnt. Haha but since it was good weather ment that we didn't need to wear a coat anymore and people saw our white shirts and ties right away which made it quite harder to find people to teach, but it's also easier for people to recognize us as representative of Jesus Christ.

Haha I'm glad Jorden is doing track! That's super cool for him! I bet he's a fast kid our there! Haha

Hahaha have you gotten tickets from Amber? Haha tell her I say hello:) haha

This week was really good! We had some great RDVs with our members and not a whole lot is going on with our friends, but we are going to do some good finding this week:) I'll send you some pictures through Facebook! I love and miss you mom!

Families are forever

HELLO! This week flew by and was great!
This week had some great experiences! Last Monday night we had a family night with a family Assetou and her son! She made us a wonderful African meal with crab and fried bananas. It was great. We talked about the model enos is by his example of faith and prayer.

The next day, we had a Rendez vous with a man who had contact us. He is from California and reminds me a lot of my brother in law! He spoke perfect English and French . No accents. We went to his house and ate lunch and his two litter girls were so cute. He wanted us over because the church has played a big role in his life. He's not a member but he grew up next to members. He loves the church and what he's seen and I hope we will get to keep working with him the only problem is is that his wife absolutely hates religion. So that's hard. But we taught the family about Christ and who he is in our lives.

We had two Rendez vous with a guy who loves genealogy. You should have seen him on the computers. Wow. He was going ham.

We passed a less active member. He answered his sonnerie (doorbell/telephone in one ) and didn't want to let us in . But I said hey 5 minutes will be alright. We walk in and the house wasn't the cleanest and there was a few boxes of 100 cigarettes.  We wernt able to do much but we were able to smile and hopefully brighten his day.

We went over to an older members house. She was nice and she has a lot of questions about the church. She was a member then went less active then came back and lost a lot of what she knew. We taught about the plan of salvation. She then unloaded her entire freezer and gave us all the food she had in there. Haha it was spontaneous and weird. But hey free food.

Saturday we made our way over to a members house. She has 3 kids at home and we had lunch with them. The daughter is really cool but is slowing starting to slip. So we talked about prayer and the relationship the we have when we pray.

When we go to church it's cool to see all of our friends and really there are some super cool people in every ward. But the real reason why we go is because of that relationship we have with our heavenly father.

Then last night after chruch we went to a family home. This family was goals as the little kids of 4 years old basically taught is all about Joseph Smith's story and his example of faith.

Here's some photos. Love you all! Have a good week! Keep your covenants
Serve someone else with a smile:)

Teusday lunch

Hii mom!
Thats super good! Me and iken have emailed a few times and kept in touch!

Ah wow! That's a lot of fun! Haha I hope those horses will still be there when I get back! Haha they'd be great for dates and nights out! That's sweet with devan!  I'm sure he did great! And I loved the pics!

Haha the glasses are mine! There fake glasses for fun haha I wanted to see if it would make me look smarter haha so I got some, they were pretty cheep so that's good!

This week was really good! We had some really good Rendez vous and I learned a lot of how the French brains work with religion. Haha for us it's freedom of religion. Haha for them it's more freedom from religion. So that makes it different. But we find people everyday that we can share a gospel truth with.

Love you mom! Sounds like your having fun with the Stephens ranch!

Some updates over here! We got our transfer calls and me and elder tairapa will be staying another. I will be the new district leader and that will help a lot. W will have exchanged in my sector so that means more work will get done! So I'm super excited to see what will happen!

Itshardthinkingofaphrasetocaptureaweek.

Heyyyo

This last Monday I started out on exchanges with the elders in Bergerac, me and elder Lewis were on exchanges and started by helping a family out with service and then going and contacting and finding for them! We had some great conversations with a few people and might have found Paris elders a few new amis. It started raining some cats and dogs while we were on exchanges.

We came back and went to work in our sector finding a whole bunch.

We had a lesson this week with our progressing amie Carine! She's a funny lady and is just really blunt.  If she doesn't understand something she says hope. Doesn't make sense. Haha which helps us teach. We taught the lesson of the plan of salvation simply and she related to it on a very personal level because she has lost people in her life.

Church. Literally it was so great! We had testimony meeting and all the members bore there testimonies on missionary work and helping the Lord work on earth. Really I have so much respect for French members. They truly are pioneers. We saw a miracle less active come to church yesterday. We had a Rendez vous with her the week earlier and she was so set on not coming. She came. We had other families that we are working with and one young man 12 come to church with his mom! He's working on getting the priesthood and he quickly found friends in the ward! He's a stud!

I've been really listening to conference talks and I loved elder bednars on meekness. I'm grateful for our inspired leaders. I know we can have personal revelation. God loves us. Let's be ready for his inspiration .

Love you all!

Elder Bennett

Fromage de tête

This week we had a Rendez vous with our ward mission leader. They are from Madagascar. He made us a meal and he started out with fromage de tête. (Head cheese) turns out be made his own cheese out of a pigs head. Mid bite I bit down and felt something rock hard. It was a bone. At that point, It was hard to finish.

Haha the week was really good here! It started out with a zone conference and talking about our testimonies and the spirit when having lessons!

We had a great lesson with a 12 year old who's preparing to get the priesthood!  We taught of the example of Nephi and how when he received calls from God his response was always Yes. 1nephi 3 7

We found some super cool amis this week! I'm excited to see their faith grow!

Conference. It was great to see the prophet and the apostles. Their words are of God. I was able to feel the spirit and receive answers to my questions. I know that God listens to us. And loves us. I'm thankful for a modern-day  prophet.

Love you all! Keep doing good.

Also shout out about LAYTON UTAH TEMPLE .

Sunsets from CHEZ nous
This member wanted a picture with us
This is where my ward mission leader lives.

Hi!  Also one story I forgot to include in my email to you its this!

This week we had a Rendez vous with an amis that we found. It was our first rdv with her. We started out by getting to know her and what she all ready knew about us, she starts out to say that she knows that for us families are really important. She then explained how her family isn't perfect. She explained literally word for word. (Well In French) what described to be like our family. (Meaning with the Bowden side). I was able to bear testimony of how you have turned and leaned on Christ and His gospel. God and his inspiration.  And the family you have. It brought us both to tears. As we bore testimony of someone faithful and strong in the gospel even not the perfect family. Thank you mom for being a model I can share and someone I look up to. I love you mom . Have a good week :)

Hahaha hiii mom! I'm glad you got to see that! Haha that's my brother in the mission. He was trained by the same trainer. but he had the song all made. We just sang it! Haha I'm getting more comfortable with French which makes me really happy.

This week our chapelle closed because of construction. So we don't have a computer to use anymore. Haha so we hadn't mcuh time to look this week.

LAYTON UTAH TEMPLE! HAHA literally I found out because of you. Cause the time differences. I woke up and read you letter and found this out! Wow! How cool!

Cool! That's good he's still able to come around! Haha literally translating is such a challenge so props for him!

I agree. The visiting and home teaching assignments really do help a whole lot. In every aspect. He's a prophet of God and inspired to lead us!

I think our friends are doing ok. They wernt able to come yesterday. But we will be seeing them this week and I'm excited for that.

Haha I'm doing good. I've got about all I need. Come July is solds. When everything is like half price. And I'm planning on maybe getting some new parts of my clothes then. Haha thanks mom for all you do! I love you! I hope it's all going good back there! Let me know if I can do anything for y'all and if you want me to start including certain things in my letters. Haha

Love,

Elder Bennett

Ça tombe Bien

Hello my family and my friends. This week was great to say the least.

For starters• we had a great Pday. An Elder from another sector came and stayed a day with us so we were in the trio life for a moment. That day rocked. We found some solid new friends. Tuesday night we had a Rendez vous set up with a member, a less active family. And a friend. We showed up. It was our first Rdv with them and turns out! This less active family is someone that the one and only soeur Jensen (vance) taught on her mission! Wow! What a miracle and how great of a time it was!the friend that was there was really interested and really it was great!
We saw them 2 time this week and they all made it to church!  Even with day light savings.

We had district meeting and we talked about charity and forgiveness. Those are big topics that I'm working on to have in my self.

Sunday was so good. Most of our progressing amis came to church and had a good time! We had a ward meal afterwards and we got really Monday with some of the members! I'm going to love Lormont Bordeaux every week.

Love you all! Let me know what's happening back home! Keep strong! Go to the temple for me! And do some good preparing for conference !

Heyyo!

This week was the first week in my new sector!  There's one main tram system that everyone uses and it's pretty simple as a ville! Still haven't seen the whole thing yet!

Cool thing this week. So me and my Trainer got in contact with this man from South Africa who was a less active and was trying to find out church! He came we got really close. Then I moved ..as missionaries do... But he moved up to Bordeaux into my ward! Haha so I found that out and it's pretty cool ill get to do stjff with him again!

We did a lot of finding this week to get our teaching pool up. Found some super cool people who I can't wait to work with!

Went to church yesterday and it's so awesome to see how strong members are and it was good to be in a big ward! Haha a guy from Lithuania came and spoke English and so I translated for him the whole time. Holy that was hard.

I really love the temple and all the blessing it brings us! Do all you can to share it with your families and friends. And live it. Go to the temple. Treate your body like a temple. Be virtuous.  Love you all! Love you all!

Me and my comp. My comp is so cool. Super funny and loves to work and play! He's doing big things.

Sun rise

Chocolate egg. Also my comp this week baught a 16 dollar chocolate egg. It wasn't worth it. Haha
